What an amazing start to the year we have had so far! We are now delivering our regular newsletters online rather than through The Eye as we have done previously. It is always important to reassess how you communicate, as well as budgets(!), so we're going to trial this method for a few months unless we find a sponsor who is keen to support our newsletters in The Eye. We'd love to hear what you think so drop us a line or pop into the office for a chat.
The annual South Alive Trolley Derby and family fun day is back! Mark your diaries for the afternoon of Sunday, March 4th when Rimu St will host the third trolley derby. Anyone over 7 years can enter, registration is free and all trolley specifications, rules and the registration form can be found here http://southalivetrolleyderby2018.floktu.com/. This year we also have a race for corporates, so if you are keen to represent your organisation, get building your trolley!
The races will run from 1.30pm to 3.30pm with prize-giving at 4.30 at the bottom of Rimu St.
There will also be a family fun day at the bottom of Regent Street from 2.30pm to 4.30pm with egg & spoon, sack and 3-legged races, toss the gumboot competitions, donkey rides, a waterslide, bumper balls, bubble machine, treasure hunt and have-a-go BMX rides. Best of all everything is free! Food trucks will be available to purchase food and drinks also.
Come along and be part of a fun family-friendly day!
With this amazing weather, come down and enjoy the Night Food Markets in the South Alive community park. The first market this year has already happened and was extremely popular. The next market is happening on Friday 2nd February with awesome local vendors, great music and great company.
