The Youth Basketball Competition is back!  Running every Thursday from 5pm, in the half-court in South Alive's community park, this is open to anyone from 13-18 years old and free to play!  Runs until December 6th.  A huge thanks to Zak Finance for running this for our youth.
Night Food market on tomorrow!
Our popular Night food Markets are back starting tomorrow in the South Alive Community Park!  The market runs from 5.30pm - 8pm, and all dishes will be $10 or less.  Feel free to bring your own plate and cutlery, or you can borrow ours.  The forecast is looking positive so come down and enjoy great food and great company.  Click here for more info or to be involved.

An interactive festival for kids, focusing on how the body works, and climate change
Otago Museum are bringing a fantastic interactive exhibit to South Alive on Thursday the 15th of November.  This is free and open to everyone.  With primary schools on strike that day, it's a great chance to bring your kids down to the Community Park for some fun experiments about how your body works and demonstrations on how climate-change affects us all.  More info here.
We're running a Human Library where people are the
We're running a human library where people are the "books"!  Come down to the Community Park on November 23rd and "check out" a book and connect with people in your community that you might not otherwise meet.  Topics include living in remote places, financial scams, tiny homes, life as a humanitarian and more.  Click here for more info.

This Monday (12th Nov) from 11am - noon in The Pod, Cissy and Sam from Neighbour's Day Aotearoa are running interactive workshops to help you with ideas and tips to participate in Neighbour's Day 2019.  Come down and learn about how you can help support neighbourliness in your community.  More information here.
Have your say about what you want and need from our criminal justice system.  From 9am - 11am, Nov 20th at the Workingmen's Club, the Ministry of Justice are hosting a free public event to hear what you have to say, and what you need from our justice system.  If your work connects with the criminal justice system, there is another hui in the afternoon.  Contact us for more information.
