Thanks everyone!

South Alive is lucky to have so many great supporters, so we wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks!

Ballance Agri-nutrients (Invercargill) hit their Health & Safety targets for the month of August 2019 which means they make a donation to a chosen charity and this month it was us! Here we are gratefully receiving the donation of $800 from Ballance which will go to great use in our community. The money will be going towards some planting along Ness Street, so watch this space... more pictures to come!

Kiwi-Pie radio continue to provide us with air time to promote South Alive and our upcoming events. Tune in to hear more!

Nash Varghese of Pride Real Estate has got us online! He has helped us out with lots of IT projects, most recently setting us up with wifi in our community rooms.
We have Jack and Jill Portraits coming in to take family photos just in time for Christmas!

For $10 you get a 15 minute photography session and one free digital file. Love all of the pictures? You can purchase additional photos afterwards too!

Sessions will be held on Saturday 26 October, between 9am and 6pm, at South Alive.

Book online now at http://jnjsouthern.co.nz/book/10796 to secure your spot.
Volunteers wanted!

Have you ever wanted to be part of South Alive, and make a contribution to your community?

We are on the lookout for volunteers, and there are lots of different ways you can contribute:
  • Becoming a South Alive host - based in our volunteer lounge here at South Alive, we are looking for some welcoming faces to greet people who pop in and help with any queries they may have about South Alive
  • Dog agility course - we have already done a bit of the planning for creating a dog agility course at the dog park but we need some volunteers to help make it happen
  • Odd jobs - we always need a hand with odd jobs around the place like cleaning the South Alive Community Space
If any of these sound like you, we would love to hear from you. Pop into the office or phone 03 218 6882.
Spring is in the air!

On Saturday 21 September we held our annual Spring Flower Show and Spring Poetry Festival.

South Alive was filled with the beautiful smell of flowers from all of our entrants, and the walls were decorated with amazing poems from the students at New River Primary School!

You can check out more photos from the day on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SouthAlive/

Keep an eye out next Spring for your chance to enter the competition. We have different classes of competition including vegetables!
