South Alive Knitwitz Group members Dulcie and Lois have been preparing the South Alive wreath for Armistice Day and future Anzac day services at the South Invercargill War Memorial. The red and purple poppies were knitted by members of the Knitwitz.
We gratefully received over 180 poems from three primary schools within our 9812 community. A big thank you to every student that submitted a poem and artwork for us to display around our community space.
The poems and great art work brought us and visitors to South Alive so much joy seeing these everyday, we have now taken them over to New World Elles Rd, where they will be put on display for the whole South Invercargill community to enjoy.

School Holiday Fun - October 2021
We had so much fun here at South Alive over the school holidays. While Level 2 restricted things a little we still managed to make some poi, share some stories, have some fun with emergency services, learn how to harvest and weave harakeke, and make some art out on our basketball courts.
Massive thanks to the people and organisations who helped bring this holiday programme together:
Nadine and Ra from Nga Kete Matauranga Pounamu Charitable Trust
